Member Content Use Policy
Cynoptec puts significant work into developing independent forecasting intelligence. To keep access fair for all members, all forecasts, reports and updates are licensed for personal use only by the purchasing member.
- Memberships are licensed to a single user. To protect the integrity of our forecasting platform and ensure fair access for members, account activity may be monitored for security and compliance purposes.
- Content may not be shared publicly, repackaged, redistributed or used commercially without written consent.
- Deliberate misuse, including redistributing or reselling our content, or purchasing under a false identity to deceive Cynoptec, is a direct breach of our Terms and Conditions and may result in membership cancellation without refund, and legal action.

Use of Membership & Forecast Information
Is it okay to share my login details?
Memberships are licensed to a single user. To keep access fair for all members and protect the integrity of the platform, account activity may be monitored for security and compliance. If you need access for more than one person, see "Do you offer team or enterprise access?" below.
Can I use your forecast information to provide to people who subscribe to my business?
No. Our forecast content is licensed for personal use only by the purchasing member. You may not repackage, redistribute or use our forecasts commercially without prior written consent. Providing our content to your own subscribers is a deliberate breach of our Terms and Conditions and will be met with legal action.
Can I share your forecast information publicly or present it as my own?
No. Sharing our content publicly (on social media, websites or in print) or presenting it as your own work is a serious violation of our Terms and Conditions. All content is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. Breaches may result in membership cancellation without refund and potential legal proceedings.
Access & Login
How do I sign up and access the long-range forecasts?
- Visit cynoptec.com and go to Pricing to choose a membership.
- Create your account with your name and email.
- Once your account is set up, you will have access to the forecasts included in your plan.
Log in to the secure member portal to view your forecasts any time. New forecast updates and alerts are also sent to your email, so add info@cynoptec.com to your safe-senders list so you do not miss them. If you need a hand during sign-up, contact us and we will help.
I cannot log in or I have forgotten my password. What do I do?
- Check your email and password are correct.
- On the Login page, click "Forgot Password", enter your account email, and follow the reset link we send you.
- If the reset email does not arrive within a few minutes, check your spam or junk folder and add info@cynoptec.com to your safe senders.
- Still stuck? Try clearing your browser cache or using a different browser, then contact us and we will sort it out.
Can I access forecasts on my phone or tablet?
Yes. Cynoptec is designed to work across desktop, tablet and mobile devices. Many members save Cynoptec to their home screen for one-tap access:
- iPhone (Safari): tap Share, then "Add to Home Screen".
- Android (Chrome): tap the menu, then "Add to Home screen" or "Install App".
There is also a handy step-by-step in your onboarding. For the smoothest experience, keep your browser up to date and log in before browsing so you see members-only content.

What does my membership include?
Cynoptec offers Weather plans (Monthly and Annual), Weather Pro Plus, standalone Markets plans (Monthly and Annual), and the all-inclusive Gold Annual. At a glance:

Do you offer team or enterprise access?
Yes. If your organisation requires access for multiple users, contact us at info@cynoptec.com to discuss team, enterprise or custom licensing options.
Where can I access exclusive forecasts?
All members-only forecasts are in the Forecasts area. Log in, open Forecasts, and use the tabs to find what you need across long-range weather, weekly weather updates, market updates and public forecasts. Make sure you are logged in, or you will only see the free public updates. Monthly Weather members can access the upcoming month's forecasts from the 1st of each month.
How often are forecasts updated?
- Weekly Weather Updates: usually twice a week, between long-range releases.
- Monthly Weather members: the upcoming month's forecasts unlock on the 1st.
- Annual Weather members: access to all available long-range forecasts year-round, updated as new ones are released.
- Markets members: regular market-cycle updates, as needed, plus special reports on major developments.
- Gold members: all Weather and Markets updates in one place.
Special alerts go to relevant members when significant weather systems or market shifts develop. The schedule above is a guide only and may vary with conditions and operational requirements.
What is the difference between free and members-only content?
Free content on our public channels gives general insight but is limited in detail, timing and coverage. Members-only content gives earlier access (often weeks or months ahead of public releases), far more detail, broader regional coverage, and exclusive alerts for significant weather or market events. Members also receive forecast updates, alerts and access to information not published through any public channel. In short, free is a preview; members-only is the full, early-access version.
About Our Forecasts
Why do forecasts sometimes change?
Forecasting is a dynamic process. As new atmospheric, oceanic and climate data becomes available, forecast confidence, timing and regional detail can improve. Our goal is not to provide a static prediction, but the earliest possible intelligence to support better decision making. Updates allow members to stay aligned with the latest forecast developments.
How accurate are your forecasts?
Forecasting always involves uncertainty, particularly over longer timeframes. Cynoptec focuses on identifying developing patterns, risks and opportunities well ahead of conventional recognition. Members should use forecasts as a decision-support tool alongside their own operational requirements and risk management processes. Forecast confidence and detail generally increase as an event or period approaches.
Can I rely on a forecast for operational decisions?
Cynoptec forecasts are designed to support planning and decision making by providing early insight into developing conditions. They should be used alongside your own operational requirements, local observations, risk management processes and professional advice where appropriate.
Why is the forecast I saw publicly different from the members forecast?
Public forecasts are designed to provide general insight and awareness. Members receive earlier updates, more detailed analysis, broader regional coverage and ongoing forecast refinement as conditions evolve. Public content should be viewed as an overview, while member content provides the full forecast intelligence.
Payments & Billing
What payment methods do you accept?
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. You can pay by credit or debit card, Apple Pay, or Link (Stripe's fast checkout that remembers your saved card). All transactions are encrypted and your card details are never stored on our servers.
How can I update my payment details?
Log in to your member dashboard and select Account from the menu, then select Manage billing and payment and update your payment method. The new details apply to future payments on your active membership.
When will I be charged?
On the same date each cycle: monthly plans bill monthly from your sign-up date, annual plans bill once a year on your sign-up date. Your renewal date and next amount are shown in your account.
What happens if my payment fails?
If a renewal payment does not go through, we will let you know and your membership enters a temporary grace period so you can update your payment details in Manage billing and payment. If the payment is not updated within that time, the plan is cancelled and members-only access ends.
How do I get a tax invoice or receipt?
A tax invoice is generated automatically at purchase and emailed with your payment confirmation. If it is not in your inbox, check your spam or junk folder. You can also view your invoices any time through Manage billing and payment. If you need one resent, contact us and we will send a copy.
Upgrades, Downgrades & Plan Changes
Can I switch between plans any time?
Yes. Open your account, select Manage billing and payment, and choose your new plan. The change happens through our secure Stripe billing portal, with no need to cancel and repurchase.
Do I get a pro-rata credit when upgrading mid-cycle?
Yes. When you upgrade through the billing portal, Stripe prorates the difference automatically, so you only pay for the change from the point you make it. From your next renewal date, the full plan price applies for the following period.
What happens if I downgrade my plan?
You can move to a lower plan from the billing portal. The lower plan and its pricing take effect from the end of your current plan period, and your account will show your new plan and next billing amount once it applies.
Cancellations & Pauses
How do I cancel my membership?
Log in, open your account, select your active plan, and choose Cancel. You can cancel any time, and your access continues until the end of your current billing period. You will get a confirmation email; keep it for your records.
What happens when my membership expires?
If your membership is cancelled or expires, access to members-only forecasts and content ends when your current subscription period concludes. You can reactivate any time by signing back in and choosing a plan.
Can I pause my membership?
Not at this stage. This feature is not currently available.
Technical Support
I am not receiving email updates. What do I do?
- Check your spam or junk folder.
- Confirm your email address is correct in your account.
- Add info@cynoptec.com to your safe senders.
- Make sure email updates are switched on in your profile.
If you have done all that and still are not receiving updates, contact us.
The site is not loading properly. How do I fix it?
Clear your browser cache, try a different browser or device, check your connection, and make sure your browser is up to date. If it persists, contact us with your device, browser and any error message.
Special Forecasts & Alerts
How do I get notified of extreme weather events?
We specialise in long-range forecasting, but when a significant event develops we send timely updates to members by email and may also post to our social channels.
Do you send SMS alerts?
Not at this stage. Email is our main delivery method. We do recommend saving your mobile number in your account, so that if we introduce SMS updates in future you are ready to receive them.
Can I get a forecast for my specific location?
Not as a standard feature yet. Forecast Strategy Consults give you direct access to discuss your location, operational planning considerations and forecast outlooks in greater detail. Book at cynoptec.com/strategy-consult.
Privacy & Security
How do you protect my payment details?
All payments run through encrypted, secure gateways (Stripe). We never store your card details on our servers, and our providers meet the highest security standards.
Do you share my data?
No. We respect your privacy and do not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties without your consent, except where required by law.
How do I delete my account completely?
Email info@cynoptec.com with your request and we will remove your account and data.

Future Features
Are you launching an app?
You can already add Cynoptec to your home screen for app-like, one-tap access (see "Can I access forecasts on my phone or tablet?"). We are also developing the Cynoptec Climate Intelligence Platform, designed to help visualise rainfall progression, climate signals, seasonal risk and forecast intelligence in a more interactive way. Development is underway, and members can register their interest on the homepage to receive updates.
